Scott grew up playing hockey in the Detroit area. He was always the leading scorer or amongst the top ten as he carried that through to a professional career.
In 1985 he was invited to the Detroit Red Wings training camp after a sensational Rookie season in the ACHL minor league scoring 53 goals and 57 assists for a 110 point total. Scott entered the Red Wings camp as the top scorer and was signed and sent to play in Flint of the IHL where he played games against our Fort Wayne Komets. After toiling around the minors on various teams he concentrated his efforts on running a business and soon after having kids decided to give back and coach his kids from mites right through to 18U AAA hockey.
Scott is very happy to be here in Fort Wayne and excited to be a part of the Summit City Distillers team where it’s a revolving door for young inspiring hockey talents to climb up the ranks to the higher up pro teams.
